Migrating Identities at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco

Migrating Identities features the work of eight artists who are currently based in the United States, but collectively have connections to such diverse countries as Bangladesh, Botswana, India, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Peru, and the Philippines. This wonderful and well-curated show reveals the fluidity with which these artists move between cultures, the changing experience of immigration, and fresh ways of conveying personal history and using mixed media. Notable artists in this show include Wangechi Mutu, Yamini Nayar, and Meleko Mokgosi.
