30 Years of Chinese Contemporary Art at Power Station of Art, Shanghai

An old electric station is the perfect frame for an exhibition that celebrates the last 30 years of Chinese contemporary art. With 117 different artists and 1000 works displayed, the exhibit wants to cover all the transformations of Chinese art since the 1980′s new wave, to the international success and the commercial importance and relevance of Chinese artists nowadays. The exhibition is divided into different sections and each one investigates different artistic expressions such as video, sound intallation, sculpture, photography, and traditional painting.
