Spazio Gerra for AntWork 2013 festival: exhibitions and events
The fourth edition of AntWork festival will open next Saturday, July 6. It will feature exhibitions, screenings and performances scattered throughout the cities of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Parma, and showcasing the work of young artists based in these three Italian cities.
Spazio Gerra in Reggio Emilia will host a group show, AW5 – ioConsumo, addressing the theme of consumption in its most diverse aspects and drifts: consumption of food, resources, relations, objects, knowledge – consumerism, waste, and reutilization. Along with the exhibition, Spazio Gerra will also feature a series of music performances, screenings, talks, and radio broadcasts addressing the theme of cultural policies with various guests. On Friday, July 12, the gallery space will host a presentation of prototypes and projects, realized by designers under 35 who are part of the AntWork network and of Fab Lab Reggio Emilia digital production lab, that has its base at Spazio Gerra.
