London Agenda: Liquid Projection Workshop with Giusy Pirrotta

On the occasion of the exhibition Substance Rift at the House of Vans in Waterloo, South London, artist Giusy Pirrotta will lead participants into a world of immersive light effects, working on liquid projections and interaction with light and space.

My research analyses the relationship between light and its sculptural qualities in relation to space and cinematic. The idea behind the workshop comes from the possibility to open the experience of light fruition and projection making to a diverse public, within a point of exchange between art and education.

The liquid Projection workshop, an event part of the exhibition Substance Rift at the House of Vans, aims to create a 360° light/color changing environment where participants can playfully interact with different materials and a set up of 10 OHP projectors in the space.

The possibilities behind the interaction of light, space and equipment are endless; the ludic aspect of this event will unfold the powerful relationship between projection making and space through a naïve approach on the machine.
