Tris Vonna-Michell – Pebble Dash at T293 Gallery
In the UK houses with pebble-dashed surfaces are estimated to have undergone a reduction of up to 5% in value. What does Tris Vonna-Michell say in his personal exhibition at T293 Gallery in Rome? His two new works – Ulterior Vistas and Capitol Complex – are mixed together by an audio track. Everything is rough, from the pictures of Le Corbusier’s future city Chandigarh to the photographic series referencing English landscape architect Humphrey Repton, and everything is flowing in slide sequences projected on a Telex machine and on the walls. By scratching the standards of a classic photographic exhibition, Tris Vonna-Michell tries to increase the value of the ideas he wants to sell.
