Milena Korolczuk – Blue bird at Raster, Warszawa
Milena Korolczuk’s film moves the spectator into a performance full of passion, through the perfect loneliness of the failing artist and her vanishing gestures. A dance of creation, body and hand movements mixed with an escalating, chaotic desert symphony. The sand flowing between the fingers of those creative hands is a metaphor for the artist’s whole work burned in the sun. Yet, those hands will never hold anything: the Wonder Brad portrait series is nothing but the remains of Korolczuk’s breakfasts, while the mind in constant research of ideas plays its – greater – part.
