Kay Rodriques

Kay Rodriques is a multimedia artist, writer and naturalist. She often collages photographs into lush acrylic and oil landscapes. Texture is but one element that she uses to create dimension in her paintings. Another is the practice of layering different colored paints atop one another. Her love of nature and the joy derived from living in the Bay Area feature prominently in her works, as does her native Jamaica. In addition to her monthly Funny Face Studios art features, she also maintains a weekly blog at http://wewerenothing.org/. There you will find her writings on nature-centered issues and art.
