Kara Elizabeth Walker at the Camden Arts Centre

The Camden Arts Centre is currently home to the uncompromising American artist Kara Walker paper cut-outs. In her solo exhibition, she unapologetically examines racial and gender tensions and in the process does shine a light on the process of storytelling itself or more precisely of history telling. All the twists and turns that are becoming part of the message seem to endlessly result in the making of a cliché portrayal of the protagonists with potential dramatic consequences.

We at Camden Arts Centre are Exceedingly Proud to Present an Exhibition of Capable Artworks by the Notable Hand of the Celebrated American, Kara Elizabeth Walker, Negress., Camden Arts Centre, London through January 5th, 2014.
